The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) is renewing a lease contract with ABC Communications.
ABC Communications is leasing space on the towers at the CRD’s Lac la Hache Fire Hall and Forest Grove Fire Hall for the operations and maintenance of a wireless broadband communications system. The lease term is being renewed for a five-year period from July 1, 2016.
In return for the lease of space at the two fire halls, the CRD receives a reduced rate on their small business Internet package at eight CRD fire halls, including Kersley, 10 Mile Lake, Deka Lake, Forest Grove, Forest Grove Hall 2, Interlakes, Lac La Hache and Lone Butte.
As part of its legal requirements, the CRD gave public notice regarding the temporary disposal of regional district property that is not available to the public for acquisition. Temporary disposal also refers to the lease of property.
