CRD holds public hearing

Bylaw changes proposed to zoning, building regulations

The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) is inviting landowners who believe they may be affected by some planned rezoning and rural land-use bylaw changes to have their say at public hearings.

In the South Cariboo, the hearing take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 21 at the Creekside Seniors Activity Centre (behind the BC Ambulance station).

It will be attended by a CRD representative, with information about the proposed bylaws 5039 and 5044 amending current bylaws 3500-3505.

The proposed amendments include new definitions, changes to ancillary height and maximum floor area regulations, and deck exceptions.

Written submissions regarding the proposed bylaw changes will also be accepted at the public hearing, or at least 48 hours prior to the hearing at the CRD office at Unit 3-170 Cedar Ave. during regular business hours.

A copy of the resolution is also available for public inspection at any CRD office.

Telephone inquires should be directed to the CRD planning department at 1-800-665-1636.

The CRD cautions that all submissions, verbal or written, will become public record and will be published on an open agenda.

No further representations or information can be considered by the CRD after the public hearing.
