The Tsq,escenemc/Canim Lake Band has successfully obtained a First Nations woodlands licence.
Officials and representatives of the province and band solidified a woodland agreement Jan. 24 that the band has pursued for decades.
The licence will allow the band to harvest timber on about 20,000 hectares of Crown land on a renewable term of 25 years.
