B.C.'s deficit climbs again

Deficit climbing under the B.C. Liberal government's watch

The province's projected deficit for 2012/13 is now at $1.47 billion, a $328-million increase from the First Quarterly Report (FQR).

Government points to a delayed sale of Crown land, decreased property tax revenues and a decline in coal prices.

Meanwhile, former NDP leader Carole James blames the Liberals for “mismanaging” British Columbia's finances.
