Aggravated assault in Canim Lake

100 Mile House RCMP were called to a report of an individual who had been stabbed

On Feb. 16, at 8:38 p.m., 100 Mile House RCMP were called to a report of an individual who had been stabbed at a residence on the 7000 block of Prosper Way in Canim Lake.

When members arrived at the residence a male was found with a stab wound to the upper torso. The injured adult male was conscious and was immediately treated by paramedics and taken to 100 Mile House Hospital.

A 32-year-old male was arrested at the residence for aggravated assault without incident. The injured male was subsequently transported to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops for further treatment and is believed to be stable at this time.

Both males are known to each other and this was not a random incident. The accused in this matter is currently in custody and will appear later today for a bail hearing via teleconference. 100 Mile House RCMP are continuing to investigate.
