Advance vote today for SD27 trustee

100 Mile House residents can use advance poll today to vote for local trustee

The advance poll is today (Dec. 5) for the byelection for Trustee-Zone 3 (100 Mile House) for School District #27.

Folks can opt to visit the polls today from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. in council chambers at the District of 100 Mile House office at 385 Birch Ave. (Fourth Street entrance).

Only residents of 100 Mile House can vote in this byelection, and chief election officer Tammy McDermid encourages all who qualify to turn out to cast their ballots and have a hand in shaping the future of the school board.

The two local trustee candidates are Chris Pettman and Holly Davidson.

Those who don't do so today can mark their reminders for general voting day (Dec. 15) in council chambers 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

If you are not on the list of electors, you may register at the time of voting. Resident electors must produce two pieces of identification (at least one with a signature) which prove both street address and identity.

To register, you must also be age 18 or older; a Canadian Citizen; a B.C. resident for at least six months prior and a resident of the District of 100 Mile House for at least 30 days prior to voting day; and not otherwise disqualified from voting.
