100 Mile House police report

Domestic dispute, disturbance, break-in and theft keep RCMP busy

100 Mile House RCMP responded to 67 complaints and calls for service during the past week. Below are highlights of the week's calls.

Domestic dispute

On March 12, 100 Mile House RCMP responded to a domestic assault complaint in progress in 108 Mile Ranch.

Upon arrival, police found a female had attacked her boyfriend. The male suffered injuries to his chest, arms and back, including a puncture wound from the metal bolt from a table leg.

The intoxicated 53-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and later released from custody on strict conditions.

Police will be forwarding their investigation to Crown counsel for review and are recommending charges of assault causing bodily harm.

Causing a disturbance

Around 6:30 p.m. on March 11, police were called to respond to a disturbance taking place outside of the Cariboo Garden Apartments.

An intoxicated male was screaming and yelling insults at people as they went by. The man was subsequently arrested for causing a disturbance and was housed in detachment cells overnight until sober and then released.

RCMP seeks help

Sometime between March 4 and 7, unknown culprits broke into a yard shed in the Traveller's Trailer Court at 375 Horse Lake Rd.

They stole the following items: a Daiwa Spin Cast Reel; a nine-foot salmon rod with a silver Ambassador 7000 C reel; four ice fishing rods and reels; six five-gallon pails and a small grey wash tub with a hole in it.
