Update: Highway 24 reopens 33 km west of Little Fort

Update:

Highway 24 has re-opened west of Little Fort after being closed Monday, Aug. 26 for several hours.

Original:

Highway 24 is closed in both directions Monday, Aug 26, due to a vehicle incident 33 kilometres west of Little Fort.

DriveBC notes the incident is between Eagle Island Road and Eakin Creek Road. 

The highway will remain closed while an assessment is underway. At this time no detour is available around the scene of the accident. 

An update is expected by 4 p.m.
