A typical Cariboo-style fence and landscape provide the backdrop for this mural that honours Sister Mary Alice Danaher.

One of four murals on the long wall across from the 100 Mile Post Office at 425 Birch Avenue, her mural was funded by the 100 Mile House Mural society and painted by Dwayne Davis.

Danaher spent the majority of her 35-year teaching career in the Cariboo, working with the Canim Lake Band and the Cariboo Tribal Council. She was commended for making learning more accessible in aboriginal communities and offering new generations of First Nations students the promise of a better future. She received the Order of Canada in 2003, which is the highest honour for lifetime achievement.
