Update:
The highway has reopened after a temporary closure due to a motor vehicle incident. The stretch of highway is operating under single lane alternating traffic due to construction until 3 p.m. Aug. 26.

Highway 97 is closed in both directions following a motor vehicle incident between Hill Road and Marguerite Ferry Road. Drive BC says there is no detour available.
An assessment is in progress with an update expected around noon.
