Elvis, also known as impersonator Steve Elliott, comes to perform in 100 Mile House on Oct. 1 with his tribute show, Elvis Elite.
Armed with music from The King, ranging from the 1950s rockabilly years straight through to the '60s era and with a little sprinkling of Roy Orbison, Elliott promises to be convincing.
His hip-swivelling action and wardrobe of look-alike Elvis costumes makes it tough to distinguish him from the real deal.
"I want to recreate the early excitement of the music of the 1950s," he says.
The show in 100 Mile House will be a return visit for Elliott, who wowed crowds with his talent and uncanny likeness to the King of Rock and Roll back in 2008.
As before, the 108 Mile Lions Club is bringing him in, but this time, he will perform at Martin Exeter Hall.
Elliott says he's looking forward to making a return visit.
"It's good to come back to 100 Mile. Being a smaller town, people are very appreciative and they make me feel welcome."
The one-man show packs all the power of a show many times its size, with professional computerized full-band sound, lighting and a wide range of stage effects.
Elliott expects his music will have people in the audience up dancing and singing along with him.
Tickets for the show are $20 each and they're available in advance at 108 Supermarket, Donex Pharmacy & Department Store and Didi's Boutique.
This event is a fundraiser for the 108 Lions Club and the community work they perform.
