Come Together is the theme of this year's annual Amnesty Club concert at Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School, March 7.

It will showcase some great student talent and also put the spotlight on human rights around the world.

The concert has met with great success in the past, and this year, there will be two shows - 1 and 7 p.m.

"We want to include the general public. We want them to be a part of it," says Kaitlyn Raimundo, Amnesty Club member.

Come Together takes place in the school gymnasium, with a slideshow put together by club members, which accents multiculturalism, acceptance, working together and uniting for change.

There will also be a raft of entertainment, which includes vocal and instrumental performances, dance and more.

Cash donations will be taken at the door and the money will be turned over to Amnesty International and to local community organizations.

The Amnesty Club has been busy this school year with a white ribbon campaign to support anti-violence toward women, and "I am not an Object Day," during which all students could participate by not wearing brand name clothing and forgetting about doing hair and makeup for the day.
