A $500 cash prize for the biggest fish caught, and a mountain of subsidiary prizes are at stake at the 24th annual Watch Lake/Green Lake Fishing Derby.
The derby takes place on June 4-5, with fishing on both Watch and Green Lake, and the weigh-in station at Watch Lake Lodge. Registration is at resorts and businesses in the Watch/Green Lake and 70 Mile House areas.
A pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. each morning, refreshment garden, concession and live entertainment will add to the fun, and Saturday night will feature the popular pig roast dinner. Tickets for the dinner can be purchased in advance at time of registration.
Derby entry fee is $10/adults and $7.50/youths under 17, and pig roast tickets are $15.
