Correspondent needs news from Watch Lake/North Green Lake groups/residents

As the community correspondent, I try to write about the things that happen in our area, but I can only do that if I am made aware of the activities.

To the members of the clubs, organizations, groups and individuals of my area, please contact me to keep me informed on what is happening in our community.

If you have events, get-well, birthday or anniversary wishes or news that you would like to share, call or e-mail this writer.

Watch Lake Community Hall

If you would like to rent the Watch Lake Community Hall (WLCH) for receptions like weddings or anniversaries, birthday parties, get-togethers, meetings and other activities, please contact Tanya Richards at 250-456-7783.

She will gladly book the dates you require for that special day.

• The Watch Lake-North Green Lake Volunteer Fire Department meets every other Tuesday at 6 p.m. The next practice will be on Oct. 13 and 27. New volunteers are always welcome. If you can find the time, come and join.

• Watch Lake & District Women’s Institute meets every third Wednesday of the month at the WLCH. Social and crafts at 11 a.m. and the meeting at 12:30 p.m. Bring a lunch. New members are welcome.

• The Watch Lake-Green Lake Community Association’s meetings are now held on the second Wednesday of every month at the WLCH. Social at 7 p.m. with the meeting at 7:30.
