Trio of business workshops coming to South Cariboo

Workshops cover attracting and retaining staff, motivational interviewing and bridging the age gap

Back by popular demand, change management specialist John Singleton will be in Williams Lake and 100 Mile House Sept. 19 to 22 to deliver a trio of workshops on attracting and retaining employees.

The free workshops are part of the Wildfire Business Transition Project, which was set up to help businesses and communities reboot following the 2017 fires.

The workshops are being sponsored by Community Futures Cariboo Chilcotin, thanks to funding from Western Economic Diversification.

John Singleton is an expert in personal development, leadership, and training who has been involved with all aspects of exploring and using people development and leadership training for more than 40 years.

His focus and experience has been as a strategic planning facilitator, business trainer, and an executive coach.

As a facilitator, John’s passion to help others “get it” is complemented by humour, fun, and education.

His drive to make work enjoyable is contagious, entertaining, and highly effective.

John combines a remarkable talent in the classroom with the wisdom gained from first-hand experiences to encourage people in finding “their best from within” for both business and personal excellence. John is an Organizational Management Specialist with training from the Canadian Institute of Organizational Management. He is also a Certified Executive Coach.

The workshops will cover, how to attract and retain great employees, motivational interviewing and bridging the generational gap.

The 100 Mile House sessions will be on Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (attracting and retaining great employees), from 1 to 4 p.m. (motivational interviewing) and on Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (bridging the generational gap) at the 100 Mile House Curling Club.
