March 26-27 are the dates set for the Third Annual Horse Bazaar at the Lakeside Equestrian Centre on Tatton Station Road.
There will be a stallion showcase, display booths, horses for sale, demonstrations and consignment and used tack sale. Hours are Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ice-Off Contest
Don't forget to get your guess in for the 108 Ranch Lions Club Ice-Off Contest.

Elvis in the house
Come out and support the 108 Mile Lions Club as it presents Elvis Elite on March 26 at the 100 Mile Community Hall. This fundraiser for the 108 Lions is back by popular demand and includes a '50s dress up contest, full bar, snacks and lunch.
Doors and bar open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.

Bird sightings
On Feb. 27, we had a single, bewildered red-winged blackbird in the backyard that was not seen again.
The usual group continues to visit us, along with a handful of redpolls and a solitary pine siskin.
