After 13 years at the Little Horse Lodge, Dieter, Katy and Heiko Schuster and Elli Scott are saying good-bye.
They were the longest owners of the Lodge since it opened in 1967 and would like to thank the community for making their years so memorable.
Dieter and Katy will enjoy retirement in their home at 83 Mile and are planning to do plenty of travelling.
Elli will be around the area until the end of March. She will then take a well-deserved holiday to Europe for seven weeks.
Her first stop will be in Munich then to Austria where she will meet her friends. The group will then continue their travelling adventure.
Once Elli comes back to British Columbia, her plans are to work in Smithers during the summer and attend Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops in September.
The community will miss them dearly but especially Elli as she was always a friendly and cheerful person. The community wishes them all the best in the new chapter of their lives and we hope they will keep in touch.
New owners
Rick and Carol Weiler will be the new owners of the Lodge commencing March 1.
They are from Chilliwack, and are anxious to move here and be part of the community.
Please drop by after March 1 to welcome them.

New website
If you have a minute, have a look at www.wlnglfiredept.org as this is the new website for the fire department.
It is a great site and it contains a variety of information. The Home Page has categories that you can scroll down to see what is happening in the department, as well as the mission statement, department profile, events and news, which includes the newsletters from January 2008 to December 2010.
The About Us section has the members, recruiting information, contacts, fire department statistics, apparatus, photos and other links.
The Fire Prevention section has prevention education and burning permit information, and the Training section has members training and the training schedule.
There is also a section for the Auxiliary Society with current events. Contact the writer if you have any comments.
Marmalade sale
On Feb. 22-23, there was a small group of WLNGLVFD Auxiliary ladies who got together at Kathy Wilson's residence to make orange marmalade for the Bake and Garage Sale scheduled for May 21.
The ladies all had a great time preparing, cooking and jarring the delicious marmalade. A big thank-you goes to Kathy for the use of her kitchen, the sweets and lunch she provided, as well as the ladies who brought goodies during the two days.
