100 Mile House Elementary School held its science fair on Feb. 24 with close to 100 entries from students in Grades 4 through 7.

Professionals from the local community volunteered their time to interview the young scientists and evaluate their projects, which were on display throughout the day and evening in the school gymnasium. Jim Price, a teacher at the school who was involved in the organization said that the entries were top notch. "The judges said that a fantastic job was done by the students. The experiments were original and they were thoroughly impressed by the effort put forth." The best of the bunch were chosen to compete at the District 27 Science Fair which takes place on March 3 in the 100 Mile House Elementary School gymnasium.
