South Cariboo team continues Bridge success

Bridge Lake Duplicate Bridge Club’s “Christmas” party/championship was held Jan. 12 at the beautiful home of Jeanne Pittet. Three and a half tables played 28 boards against an average of 24 points.

In first place, with 29 points, Johann Miller and Sharon Stewart won the Sheila Michener Memorial Christmas Club Championship, followed by Pam Canty and Pittet with 27 followed by Carney Myers and Diana Forster with 24.

Miller and Stewart also won the October 2017 to May 2018 Top Pairs award.

Fishing derby

The Fishing Highway 24 Tourist Association’s Ice-Fishing derby is at Sheridan Lake, Saturday, Feb. 2. Weigh in at Loon Bay Resort from dawn to 2 p.m.
