For the second year in a row, eXp Realty is running its Giving Back Together campaign in 100 Mile House.

All donations collected go to different organizations that prepare hampers, said realtor Jenni Guimond, who is organizing the campaign with Mandy Findlay.

The two women have partnered with Red Apple and Guimond said everything collected at the store and the eXp office will help the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre and Loaves and Fishes.

"We are also looking for other organizations that could use support," she said.

With the kick-off Tuesday, Nov. 12, they will be accepting donations up until Dec. 13.

The focus this year is on essential items because so many families are struggling with the rising costs of living, Guimond explained.

Donations such as non-perishable food, new clothing, baby diapers and formula, gift cards and new toys are all needed.

While the campaign has been in 100 Mile House for more than a decade, this is the second year Guimond and Findlay are organizing it.

The public can expect a promotion event, titled Fill up the sleigh day, on Saturday, Dec. 7 at the Red Apple.

"Some realtors and members of the fire department will be serving hot dogs and hot chocolate by donation," Guimond said. "The fire department then brings all the donations down to our office."

Donations are accepted at the eXp Realty office, 96 Highway 97 or Red Apple, 575B Alder Ave Unit 10.

Anyone wanting more information is encouraged to call Guimond or Findlay at 250-706-9926.
