Rotary offers first annual Lobsterfest

Rotary Lobsterfest tickets on sale

Put your bibs on and enjoy a lobster feed, says Rotary Club of 100 Mile House member Scott Saito.

"Actually, the bibs will be supplied; it's not a formal affair."

The Rotary's biggest fundraiser is happening Sept. 24, at the 100 Mile Community Hall. The doors open at 6:15 p.m. with the all-you-can- eat dinner starting at 6:45.

"The lobsters will be flown in live from Nova Scotia; there will be corn on the cob, salads, and desserts, too," Saito says, adding there will be a no-host bar.

"All the money raised will stay in the community, and go towards the annual Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School scholarships, the Seniors Christmas dinner and for community projects still under discussion."

The tickets for the dinner are $75, and folks will receive a $40 donation receipt the night of the event. A silent auction is planned, says Saito, with some big ticket items already confirmed.

Tickets are available now from any Rotarian or stop in at the Royal Bank on Birch Avenue and ask for Saito.
