It is said that “a picture is worth a thousand words,” so it follows that 100 pictures must be worth a million words. It is very likely that is just how many words were generated by the many visitors who packed the school gymnasium to view and discuss the eclectic exhibit.

Whether printed photographs, video tape or slides were used as the medium, each exhibitor’s group of photos provided insight into their many passions and interesting lives. Photo journalism of world-wide travel is an obvious shared interest among many club members.

The popularity of capturing local scenery and subjects was delightfully familiar when our own backyards were portrayed in pictures worthy of any international publication promoting the South Cariboo.

A neighbour’s dilapidated barn or relic vehicle, passed by several times a day and often ignored, was transformed into a piece of art with the creative eye of the many talented photographers who live in our community.

Well done to all of the exhibitors and group supporters and enjoy your search for subjects for next year’s anticipated show.
