Twenty-two members of the Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Department (FGVFD) gathered with guests at Hall #1 Forest Grove for their annual Firefighter Appreciation Dinner on May 10.
The Two Sisters catering outfit laid on a scrumptious feast of turkey and ham as the group celebrated what had been a busy year, but one without accidents or injuries.
The FGVFD responded to 80 9-1-1 calls, 55 to 60 of these being medical emergencies.
To mark the admirable safety record, fire Chief Bob Felker received the ‘Terry’s Door’ award for the year, which was presented by Capt. Ken Kerr.
