with “Munsch Mania,” a family event held on Jan. 29 from 11 a.m. to

noon, in the kids section at the Cariboo Regional District Library — 100 Mile House at 449 Birch Ave.

Librarian Roxy Barnes will be reading from a selection from well-known children’s author Robert Munsch.

“The kids love his books and I do, too. Two of my favourites are The Paper Bag and Mud Puddles, says Barnes, who promises she will read other selections, too.

Munsch is very pro-active and has lent his name to literacy in Canada, says Barnes.

“I want this to be a family affair and hope parents will come with their children and enjoy the stories.”

On a different note, says Barnes, the library has extended its hours on Thursdays, and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
