Mikayla Mosher of the Lone Butte 4-H Club talked her way to first place at the regional speeches in Kersley on April 2.
She topped the eight junior speakers who represented 4-H clubs from the 100 Mile House to Prince George.
It is the highest level a junior speaker can achieve, so Mosher did a great job for herself and the local 4-H club. It is her last year as a junior member, as she will be moving up to the senior level next year.
Interestingly, both Mosher and the senior speech winner had the same topic – superstitions.
