The Lac la Hache Community Club (LLHCC) held its annual general meeting Feb. 15 and the new executive is in place, including president Larry McCrea, vice-president Judy Boehm, secretary Barb Hansen and treasurer Jeanette McCrea.
Interest in the Garlic Festival has been high and vendors are already booking for this year’s event scheduled for the end of August.

Barb is co-ordinating a garlic cookbook as a fundraiser, it will be printed and ready for sale at the Garlic Festival. The public can submit recipes to Barb via e-mail at bhansen@bcinternet.net or by mail to Box 215; Lac la Hache, B.C.; V0K 1T0.
The deadline for submissions is April 30.
Under the B bodies needed
As always the LLHCC is looking for volunteers to help at bingo, which is still going great, as well as for the arena.
There is always a need for volunteers to assist with the little projects going on that need a little extra help.
Renos underway
Renovations and painting are continuing at the Lac la Hache Thrift Store and the Pottery Shed.
Much of the old stock was either sold or given away at the end of the year.
The LLHCC is looking for donations to help stock the store for the upcoming season. Please contact Wendy at 250-706-9937 to arrange for pickup/delivery or Judy at 250-396-7298.
A wall mount sink is needed for the Pottery Shed, so if anyone has one they would like to donate, please contact Judy 250-396-7298.
Prestigious nomination
The LLLCC/Garlic Festival has been nominated for the Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce outstanding achievement award.
The winners will be announced at a dinner in Williams Lake on March 12.
