We had a talent show March 15.

There was singing, gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, lip syncing, a magic show, a volcano presentation and dancing. It was so fun and St. Patrick’s days was on March 17.

Spring break

Spring break is already here! That means it’s almost the end of the school year. Hope you all have fun on the break. The snow is melting away - spring is right around the corner (not literally).

April Fools’ day

April Fools’ is coming up and make sure you are prepared for all those tricks and jokes. Also, Easter is coming up so get those decorations and get to work.

Salmon

We have been taking care and feeding Chinook Salmon. They are eating the fish food we are giving them. They will soon be let go to the river in June. Paula from Scout Island came and taught us about the salmon.

RCMP substance abuse

Kim (RCMP) and Janine (a community prevention worker) came in and taught us about drugs and alcohol.

They told us what age they can arrest a child. A child arrest is 12 years old. I learned different types of drugs, and what some drugs can do to you.

Drugs are really harmful so if you see a drug or something on the street don’t touch it and call someone like the RCMP.

I also learned that it’s better to call from your house phone when you’re in trouble or hurt, not your cell phone, because if you can’t talk they automatically know where you are because they can track the number to your house.

Tubing

Our school spent a great day tubing at Spruce Hill Resort & Spa on March 2.

The tubes went really fast and you were pulled back up the hill.

We had lunch there too. The food was really good and the tubing was so much fun!
