Indoor Farmers’ Market open

Parkside Art Gallery in 100 Mile House comes up with a fresh idea

Parkside Art Gallery is offering something new for 100 Mile House and area residents.

Starting today (Nov. 13), there will be an indoor Farmers’ Market every Thursday at Parkside (401 Cedar Ave.) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., until April 2015.

Organizer Claudia Ring says she thought it would be a good idea to provide a venue for folks who regularly attend the summer Farmers’ Market on Birch Avenue.

“It allows them to have the opportunity to make money year round, and people get to buy good food they get during the summer.”

So far, Ring says she has four bakers signed up and another person who cooks food, including chili.

She notes they all have the proper certification for selling their products.

Any other vendors interested in joining Indoor Farmers’ Market can contact Claudia at Parkside Art Gallery at 250-395-2021 and leave a message.
