On Jan. 24 the AGE FRIENDLY Society of the South Cariboo is hosting a housing forum in the 100 Mile House Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
A panel of presenters will provide information on different types of housing and on what is available now, together with plans for future development. Local builders will provide displays of appropriate seniors' housing models.
In addition to informing seniors about housing options, the AGE FRIENDLY Society wants to kickstart a detailed and confidential housing survey from which they will compile a "wish list" for seniors' housing.
A light lunch will be provided, followed by attendees' thoughts on planning to meet housing needs. All input is very important.

Outhouse races
On Sunday, Feb. 12, the Interlakes Economic Association will hold their annual Outhouse Races at Interlakes Corner. The event is free.
The amazing creations will be on site at 10 a.m. and races will start at 11a.m.
Spectators are asked to vote for their favourite outhouse, and the winner will receive the People's Choice Award.
Last year's giant slide (toboggan run) will be in place and, this year, there will also be sleigh rides. Hot food and beverages will be available on site.
