Ice-Off Contest’s winner announced

The 108 Lions’ Ice-Off Contest is over for this year, folks, and the winner is 108 Mile Ranch resident David Taylor.

David’s winning time was March 28 at 1:25 p.m. The actual time the flag went up at 1:49:47 p.m.

David is being invited to the next Lions meeting to collect his winnings of $200.

Bingo night

Next 108 Lions Bingo is April 22 at the 108 Mile Community Hall, with the doors opening at 6 p.m. and games starting at 7.

The last 108 Lions Club Bingo event is on May 13, and while it is on a Friday the 13th, some lucky player from this season will win a weekend for two in Kamloops and some spending money.

Eat and bid quietly

The 108 Lions will be holding their annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction at the 108 Mile Community Hall on May 7, with the doors opening at 6 p.m.

Greenbelt preservation

Please be aware that ATVS and dirt bikes are not allowed anywhere in Walker Valley nor on the trails around the lakes.

The reason for this is to protect the horses and cattle that use the valley.

Historical Society

The 100 Mile House & District Historical Society is holding an Open House and AGM in the Ice House at the 108 Heritage Site on the north end of the 108 Lake on April 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please dress up. Everyone is invited to attend.
