On May 11, British Columbia Old Age Pensioners Organization (O.A.P.O.) president Fred Coates and his wife, Jan, attended our regular monthly meeting at the Lac la Hache Pioneer Centre.

Fred presented Henry Hall with a Life Membership Certificate.

Henry has been very active in our organization, as president for many terms, as well as first vice-president several terms. He has also been steward and director for several terms of the Cariboo Zone.

Fred gave a very interesting talk on how and what the O.A.P.O. stands for.

He also presented our president Phil Rivet with a plaque that states: "Seniors must be recognized as an asset to society - not a burden."

It was a very exciting day for us, as it is the first time we have been visited by any BC O.A.P.O. executive member.
