Former Clinton resident releases second book

Chasing Georgia, The Georgia Series, Book 2 a continuation of Georgia Charles life

By Katie McCullough

Former Clinton resident June Bourgo’s second novel was released on Sept. 23 by Fountain Blue Publishing of Los Angeles.

It has been quite a journey for the author since her first book was published four years ago.

After her initial publisher switched to eBook distribution only, Fountain Blue Publishing picked up the rights to the first book. The book was rewritten and 10,000 more words added.

Bourgo says the story is basically the same with more angst added to the protagonist’s dilemma and the spirit who appears in the story is a native spirit. More native lore and history of the Tahltan people was added, since the location for the story takes place in northwestern British Columbia on Tahltan lands.

The story is now a series with the original book being re-released in October 2014, with a new cover and re-titled, Winter’s Captive, The Georgia Series, Book 1.

The newly released second book of the series, which is also under contract to Fountain Blue Publishing, is entitled Chasing Georgia, The Georgia Series, Book 2, and is a continuation of Georgia Charles life.

Chasing Georgia is available online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and most fine online retailers, in paperback and eBook formats. It can be ordered through local bookstores.

For Clinton readers, it is available for order at the Country Squire Gift Shop at 250-459-2224. Susan Swan will forward your name to the author if you wish a personalized autographed copy from the author.

Katie McCullough is the Clinton correspondent.
