The community is stepping up to the plate to help Bill and Jennie Neufeld of 70 Mile House after the seniors lost their Pine Road home and possessions to a devastating fire in the early hours of Jan. 7.
100 Mile House Emergency Social Services responded immediately with food, clothing and lodging support, and then when word spread, donations started pouring in to assist the couple.
The couple is well on their way, but more is needed.
