Ladies and gentlemen, Elvis is in the building - the 100 Mile House Community Hall that is.
On March 26, Steve Elliott will be performing Elvis Elite.
"He puts on a fantastic show," says 108 Mile Lions Club member Les Cookman.
"Steve has been a performer for about 10 years and has won lots of competitions, including first-place runner-up at an Elvis festival in Penticton."
The Lions are bringing the Elvis Elite show to 100 Mile to raise funds for the various projects the club is constantly doing. Some of the plans, says Cookman, include direction signs and various renovations, including the repair a roof on a shed by the 108 Mile Community Hall.
"A few of the past projects included glow-in-the-dark address signs and building the stage at the 108 hall."
Cookman adds the Lions just finished helping out at the Spaghetti Soccer dinner auction put on by the 100 Mile House & District Soccer Association a couple of weeks ago.
The Elvis Elite evening includes a light lunch, snacks and a no-host bar. Tickets are by advance purchase only and are going for $25 a person.
