On May 29, 108 Mile Ranch residents will be doing their part to help change the lives of Canadians with disabilities by participating in the Purina Walk for Dog Guides.
The Walk will take place at 108 Lake - Main Beach with registration at noon and the walk starting at 1 p.m.
As the largest fundraiser of its kind in Canada, the walk helps provide funding to ensure Canadians with disabilities are able to receive a dog guide at no cost. Dog guides are specially trained to meet their handlers’ needs and also provide them with increased safety, mobility, and independence.
All of the funds raised from the event go directly towards the five dog guide training programs at Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides.
Free hotdogs and hamburgers will be available.
