The Canadian Council of the Blind - 100 Mile House and District Chapter White Cane Club are bringing out the bling for their annual diamond raffle.

First prize is a one-half carat diamond-encrusted dinner ring, set in 14-karat white gold and valued at $1,450.

"It's breathtaking. It's the prettiest one we've ever had," says White Cane member Marilyn Vinson.

A gift certificate valued at $100 for Bonanza Resort on Horse Lake is second prize and a $50 gift certificate for the Iron Horse Pub in Lone Butte is third prize.

Fourth prize is a Christmas stocking covered in $25 worth of scratch lottery tickets.

Raffle tickets are $1 each or 11 for $10 and will be available at Sharon's Jewellery & Watch Repairs until the Dec. 13 draw date. White Cane members will also be selling tickets at Save-On-Foods on Nov. 12 and Dec. 2-3 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Vinson says money raised will be used to support their blind curling club, create awareness of their organization and support vision-impaired people in the community who need their help.
