Firefighters news

Join the Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Department (FGVFD) members at the community hall to welcome their new fire chief on April 12 at 7 p.m.

Bob Felker is retiring after 33 years of service and will be officially handing over "the reins."

The FGVFD is also looking for dedicated and community spirited men and women to join its ranks – be that as a firefighter or first responder, or both. Training for all levels is provided free of charge.

Questions regarding expectations and the amount of time required to serve will be explained during the meeting, and interested parties can sign up that evening.
