Christmas community dinner a 'huge success'

Community news happening around North Green Lake and Watch Lake

The Watch Lake/Green Lake Community Association's (WLGLCA) Christmas dinner on Dec. 10 at the Watch Lake Community Hall (WLCH) was a huge success with 120 guests attending.

The wonderful buffet with an assortment of food, including turkey, ham and all the trimmings was served.

After dinner, Christmas carols were sung until the surprise guest appeared. Santa gave out goodie bags to the children and his helpers gave out gifts to the adults.

Everyone had a great time. A big thank-you goes to all of the hardworking volunteers who decorated the community hall, took care of the registration of the guests, helped during the course of the evening and all who brought food for the buffet dinner. Without all these individuals, this would not have been as successful as it was.
