The Competitive Driving Event at Huber's Farm in 70 Mile attracted a large crowd July 9-10.
Saturday was devoted to technical events with drivers demonstrating control of their teams. On Sunday, drivers ran their horses through the obstacle courses that required skill and speed.
Ken Huber was pleased with the turnout and says he is already looking forward to next year.
SMAC meeting
Seventy Mile Access Centre (SMAC) will hold its general meeting on Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. at the centre.
Everyone is welcome.
Firefighters meeting
The 70 Mile House Volunteer Fire Department will hold a general meeting on July 31 at 10 a.m. at the fire hall on Willow Drive.
All residents are welcome to attend.
Bookmobile
The Thompson Nicola bookmobile will be in the area on Aug. 4.
It will be at the South Green Lake fire hall from 10 to 11 a.m., and at the 70 Mile General Store from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
