Brotherhood, Richard Bell’s award-winning Canadian survival drama, is returning to South Cariboo Theatre in 100 Mile House this Remembrance Week.

This special engagement, scheduled for November 12-14 at 7:00 p.m., invites audiences to revisit a moving true story of endurance and camaraderie.

Set in Ontario’s Kawartha Lakes region, Brotherhood chronicles the harrowing journey of teenage boys and their camp counsellors—veterans of the Great War—as they fight for survival after a violent storm capsizes their canoe.

The camp, originally created for boys whose fathers were lost or irrevocably changed by the war, becomes a place of leadership, strength, and support. When tragedy strikes, the boys and their counsellors must rely on each other to endure a long and perilous night.

The film’s return to 100 Mile House aligns with this period of Remembrance, offering an opportunity for reflection on themes of sacrifice, resilience, and unity. Brotherhood honours the legacy of a generation shaped by loss and courage.
