After their superlative performances at the Williams Lake Cariboots 'n Blades in early February

Interlakes figure skaters Brittany Boyd, 12, and Giorgia Lanzoni, 11, continue to succeed.

At the 32nd (and final) Ogopogo Freeskate Competition in Penticton in mid-February, Giorgia won silver in Pre-Preliminary Freeskate; and placed fifth in Pre- Introductory Interpretive.

Brittany placed eighth in Intermediate Interpretive and fourth in Preliminary Freeskate. This was Giorgia's last competition for the year as she is now in Italy, but Brittany continues to compete.

Winterfest sledders

Interlakes Snowmobile Club (ISC) members participated in the ABC Snowmobile Club Federation Winterfest on Feb. 12.

Fifteen sleds met at Mahood Lake and 8200 roads and rode to Cougar Lake Campsite where they enjoyed a wonderful lunch before returning home.

ISC members were delighted that this event raised $2,165 for the B.C. Lions Society for Children with Disabilities.

Spacey lunch

Teen Space members hosted an appetizing lunch at Interlakes Hall, Feb. 19.

The Interlakes youth group, which is sponsored by the Cariboo Presbyterian Church, offered five delicious homemade soups, four varieties of home-baked biscuits and scrumptious apple crisp, all this for a donation.

Elaine Adams noted the youths were thrilled with the turnout of some 70 guests and the $640 they raised.

Deck hands

Interlakes Community Association reminds residents that Saturday evenings at Interlakes Hall are "card nights," at 7 p.m.

Bring whatever game you wish to play and enjoy the camaraderie.

Well played

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, included worthy performances by Bridge Lake School principal Eric Storteboom as Marcus Lycus, and Bridge Lake resident Ian Levick as Hero.

Both "old hands" at theatre, they are to be congratulated on doing justice to their roles.

In fact, all actors were brilliantly cast, and all roles superlatively played.

Celebrations

On March 11, five big balloons will wing their way to Sierra Dorward, while congratulations on 51 years of wedded bliss go to Linda and Al Bishop.
