The 70 Mile House Volunteer Fire Department (70MHVFD) bingo begins a new season on Sept. 8 at the Seventy Mile Access Centre, 2545 N. Bonaparte Rd.
Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and play starts at 7.
Poker tournament
The next poker tournament, sponsored by the 70MHVFD, will be held Sept. 10 at the 70 Mile Community Hall.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and play starts promptly at 1 p.m. Our new poker chips will be used at this event.
Poker winner
Big Slick held a regional poker tournament in Kamloops, July 9-10.
The top 2 finishers received seats worth $550 at a poker tournament at the River Rock Casino in Richmond. Dave MacDonald of 70 Mile House finished first and will be going to Richmond in October with a chance to win some serious money.
