The Heart and Stroke Foundation was a few thousand dollars richer thanks to the participation of three local 100 Mile House teams.
Everybody turned out, says April Roberts, whose T.I.B.'s team of 29 raised almost $3,000.
"We rode around twice and had a good time. It was for a good cause."
The Heartees team from Interior Health raised close to $1,600, says Deb Runge, who was part of the 10 riders from 100 Mile District General Hospital.
The third team was the Forestry & Company group of 20 participants, which comprised of employees and family of Ministry of Forestry and West Fraser Timber.
"It was a nice little loop and easy to ride," says Jim McLean. "We raised about $800."
The total from all three teams was close to $5,500 during the Big Bike Ride on May 30.
