The 108 Mile Ranch Community Association (RCA) board of directors has decided to put a beach volleyball court at the main beach on 108 Mile Lake.
Noting they will not be putting the floating dock out for the third consecutive year because of the low lake levels, RCA director Ingrid Meyer says they are going build a beach volleyball court instead.
On June 4, starting at 10 a.m., there will be a work bee to cut the grass out and prepare the field for the sand to go in, she adds.
"We can use all the help we can get. Please come with tools and we need to haul the grass away, so anyone who owns a truck is asked to bring it."
She says they are planning to play on regular weekday evenings, and the dates and times will be announced later and likely start in July.
