Bankers Variety Show will sell out fast

The tickets are at the banks for the seventh annual Bankers Variety Show, being held at the 100 Mile House community hall on March 19, the doors open at 6 p.m.

All the local banks: BMO (Bank of Montreal); CIBC; RBC (Royal Bank); and the Williams Lake and District Credit Union,100 Mile House branch (WLDCU) get together for a evening performance of fun and entertainment; all for a good cause.

The annual show is an asset to the community and to the 139 Children's Foundation. All the money raised goes to Cariboo-Chilcotin families of sick children to help with their expenses such as food and gas, says one of organizers Shawna Norton.

"It's great getting together with the other banks for such a worthy cause," says Norton of WLDCU.

"I've had so much fun just getting ready for the show."

The rehearsals have been going great, most of the bank staff rehearse at their bank locations says Norton. Adding that her coworkers rehearse in the mornings at her branch and get quite the confused looks from their clients using the ATM machines.

"There will be a light supper catered by Yummers after the performances and people are invited to dance to the music by Rob Fry."

"We will have all sorts of door prizes, raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets, it will be a fun night."
