The popular Mill Site Lodge/Fischer Place Auxiliary (MSL/FPA) annual yard sale will be held at the Fischer Place parking lot on June 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
MSL/FPA fundraising efforts of go towards enhancing the comfort and quality of life of the residents, says auxiliary president Carol England.
She adds activities include assisting with recreational programs, accompanying the residents on outings, welcoming new residents, personal shopping, social visits, companionship, reading, mending, helping at dances, bingo and more.
Currently, the auxiliary is holding its Spring Raffle, which will be drawn at the end of the yard sale. Tickets are $1 each or three for $2, and are available from any auxiliary member, England says, adding they are on sale Fridays, until the end of May, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Pharmasave and will be available at the yard sale until the 1 p.m. draw time.
Prizes include a framed Robert Bateman print donated by Jean Joyner, a hand-stitched quilt donated by Linda Allan, and a $100 gift certificate donated by Safeway.
