70 Mile House hosting inaugural ice fishing derby Family Day

Eddy's Bar and Grill is hosting two cool events on Feb. 15-16 on the Family Day long weekend at Green Lake.

Ice Races

The Fifth annual Ice Races are on Saturday and Sunday starting around 10 a.m. at Access 2 off Green Lake South Road both days.

Racing enthusiasts are invited to bring something to race, or just come to enjoy the fire and watch the action! Everyone is welcome to attend the event. Bring your own chairs and dress warmly.

There will be a BBQ by donation.

Ice Fishing Derby

The Inaugural 70 Mile House Ice Fishing Derby is on Feb.16.

There will be two weigh-in stations – one on South Green and the other on North Green. Fishers are urged to enjoy a day of fun, competition and great prizes.

Tickets are $20 for adults and fishers 12 years and under can fish for free! Buffet tickets are $25 plus tax. Tickets are available at Eddy's Bar and Grill.

There will be a lot of prizes to be won:

There will be first and second prizes in the Rainbow and Kokanee categories, two hidden weight prizes, and cash prizes to be announced.

The Derby buy-in ticket will be entered into the Door Prize raffle.

Winners must be present to collect their prizes.

The buffet will be served at Eddy's Bar and Grill at 5 p.m. with prizes and raffles to follow the dinner. Buffet tickets are also available at Eddy's Bar and Grill.
