The 108 Mile Ranch Volunteer Fire Department (108MRVFD) had a very successful Pink Shirt Day on Oct. 22 at the 108 Mall.
They raised approximately $1,200 with the sale of 60 pink T-shirts. This funding goes to support the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
Donations support breast cancer research in the areas of early detection, treatment, quality of life, translational research, prevention, fundamental laboratory investigation and health services.
Thanks go to the 108MRVFD members for their participation in this important event.
AGM slated
Mark your calendars for the 108 Mile Ranch Community Association (RCA) 2011 annual general meeting on Nov. 16 in the 108 Mile Community Centre, starting at 7 p.m.
All members are welcome. If you're not a member and you want to join, you can sign up at the meeting.
Fees are $10 for one-year membership; $35 for a five-year membership; and $40 for a one-year business membership.

This year's Christmas Market will be held on Dec. 11 at the 108 Community Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
