Hanging basket buffs, backyard gardeners, local food fans, and anyone with a sense of beauty and colour – or even has a flower-loving mother nearby – is encouraged to check out the bloomin’ great selections at 100 Mile Feed & Ranch Supply.

Mother’s Day ideas from flowers to fruit trees, berries to baskets are ready to go, says greenhouse co-ordinator Helen Schaefers. The store will also have flats of bedding plants, both vegetables and flowers, in stock before mom’s special day arrives (May 14) – but get them early, as these always sell quickly.

“Come and select a special gift for a special mom.”

From avid gardeners to kitchen herb growers, the local Feed & Ranch store (just two blocks from Highway 97 on Exeter Station Road) is stocked up with a great selection of trees (fruit and ornamental) plus perennials and shrubs (flowering and berries) all ready to plant.

Their always-popular hanging baskets are overflowing with bright blossoms ready for your porch, there are climbing vines to catch more colours, as well as most everything else you’ll need to spring into a great garden this season.

“We have everything for the “complete garden” – the soils, the fertilizers, and we have a bunch of beautiful, fancy new planters in lots of different colours and unique styles, in everything from plastic to ceramic,” says Shaefers.

The berry selection alone is delightful, with many different varieties of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries to Saskatoon’s and even haskaps (a unique, tasty Japanese honeyberry) – as well as hardy grape vines – for your porch, planters or backyard garden.

Lots is in stock now, with everything, even their most special varieties and species, available at competitive pricing, she adds.

“We get lots of positive comments on how well our products are priced in the greenhouse, especially for what they are.”

If they don’t have what you wish, or the stocks sell out before you get there, they always bring in more, or just ask the friendly helpful staff and they will order anything they can for you, she explains.

“If the product’s available, we can get it in.”

Schaefers assures everyone interested in digging into their great selection that all the plants they sell are suitably zoned for South Cariboo weather conditions.

She says the 100 Mile Feed & Ranch is ready to serve your needs, so just ask the staff for assistance with your gardening challenges or uncertainties, and they will do their very best to accommodate you.

“We can help you grow your garden.”
