Passed away peacefully in Kelowna, February 1st. Bill was born in Williams Lake, B.C., April 6, 1935. He was an ardent fisherman and wild game hunter. Married in 1956. Bill assisted in building the natural gas pipeline through the Interior before becoming an employee with Westcoast Transmission, until his retirement in 1991. He will be lovingly missed by his 3 children and 4 grandchildren: Joanne of Kelowna (Justin), Brian of Harrison Hot Springs (Mitchel), Steve & wife Cathy of Kelowna (Sarah & Michael), sisters Betty (Norm) Ewart of Lac La Hache, and Margaret Anne (Mike) McDonald of Abbotsford, and many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. In honouring our father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, a memorial service will be held at the Lac La Hache Community Hall, February 11th, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Kelowna Cancer Clinic, Kelowna General Hospital, Douglas Fir Extended Care and all of their staff for outstanding warmth and care. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted by B.C. Cancer Society.
